Community Coordinator- Catlins Biodiversity Project
Emma grew up in Whatawhata in the Waikato, but has since moved to Papatōwai in the Catlins. She has a Bachelor of Science in environmental studies and biodiversity from Victoria University. Before Emma became the newest member of our team, she worked for D.O.C. Murihiku as a biodiversity ranger in the Catlins and Awarua/Waituna Wetlands.
At Taiao we understand the value and strength that communities can bring to a project. Thus, Emma spends her time engaging with the community to help build our Catlins Biodiversity Project.
Alongside Alana Bensemann, Emma is a great person to contact if you are a member of the Catlins community and want to know more, or even become involved with the biodiversity project.
